Farm Raised Meat

We raise our own beef, pork, and chicken.

We also have farm fresh eggs available in the spring, summer, and fall.

All of our livestock is raised here on our farm and processed in local, family-owned facilities that are USDA inspected.

Cattle are grass-fed and grass-finished with minimal grain.

Whole, Half, Quarter Beef and Whole, Half Hogs are available at various times throughout the year. Please let us know if you are interested and we will put you on our list.

50% deposit required at the time the order is placed.

Flat Branch Farm will deliver the animal for processing.

The buyer is responsible for: filling out cut sheet, picking up meat, paying for processing.

We support small, family-run butchers in Central Illinois.

The three local processors we use regularly are Oconee Chop Shop in Oconee, Paris Frozen Foods in Hillsboro, and Moweaqua Packing Plant in Moweaqua.

Customers who place an order early enough might be able to request which processor your hog or beef goes to, but we can't guarantee that. We book appointments pretty early in advanced to ensure we have processing dates reserved at appropriate times for our livestock and may not be able to accommodate the buyers first choice.

Cost of processing and packaging across all three locations are similar and the quality, customer service, and butchering options are all top-notch at Oconee Chop Shop, Paris Frozen Foods, and Moweaqua Packing.
